To be honest most weeks nothing big comes out of it. A few replies maybe someone agrees to a quick chat and that’s it.
It can feel pointless sometimes like why am I even doing this. But I kept going anyway just sticking to the routine.

And then once in a while something clicks. Out of nowhere someone replies at the right time and suddenly there is a real opportunity.
That’s exactly what happened recently. I reached out to someone casually and a couple of weeks later it turned into a proper project the kind of work I actually enjoy doing.
If I had skipped that one week none of it would have happened.

First just be honest about it. Say it clearly to yourself what exactly are you avoiding and why.
Then make it simple and put it on your schedule. Don’t wait to feel ready because that rarely happens. Just start small and show up anyway.
And if you can tell someone about it. When someone else knows you’re trying it becomes harder to skip.

Avoiding things feels good for a moment but it slowly closes doors you don’t even see.
So don’t think too big. Just pick one small step you can take today and do it even if it feels uncomfortable.
